Hi! I'm Joanna. I'm a designer, developer, teacher, and learner. I'm passionate about creating experiences that enable people and products to achieve their best.

I currently work as a Staff Product Designer at Mailchimp in Atlanta, GA. My journey started in Ontario, Canada where I was born and raised. Growing up painting and playing piano, I developed a love for things both artistic and technical. Naturally, when I discovered the world of web design, I found my passion and have enjoyed designing and coding interactive user experiences ever since.

I moved to Atlanta in 2008, where I earned my MFA in Interactive Design from SCAD while also teaching Graphic & Web Design full-time at The Art Institute of Atlanta for over six years. After several years teaching I yearned to be part of an amazing product team, which led me to Mailchimp in 2015.

I've been fortunate to gain experience in various roles at Mailchimp, including Front-End Developer, UX Engineer on our Design System team, and my current position as Staff Product Designer. Product Design is the space where I'm currently most passionate and feel the greatest sense of impact, but I still bring my engineering perspectives to the table with every project I touch. I am lucky to work with some of the kindest, smartest, most talented (and fun!) people I know.
